Mineral Casting Manufacturing Process:
Klement can design mineral castings to ensure maximum utilization of technology and materials. Klement will also provide system solutions incorporating various components into castings to minimize assembly at the customer's site. Mould
The mineral casting process requires building a mold. The moulds are made of different materials such as wood, fiberglass, braided steel, aluminium and steel. The choice of mold material depends on the desired part accuracy, unit output and product life cycle. Clement will assist with the design of the mineral casting to ensure maximum utilization of technology and materials. CPT will also provide system solutions incorporating various components into castings to minimize assembly at the customer's site. Wooden molds are used for prototypes and sometimes for limited production parts (special machines). They are fast and inexpensive to manufacture, but do not produce finishing precision. Steel molds are used when production volumes are small, typically less than 100 castings, and high precision is not required. These molds are considered mid-range in terms of cost and quality. Fiberglass molds are ideal for complex and round shapes. Like cast steel, the casting precision of these molds is not high, and the output generally does not exceed 100 pieces. Fiberglass molds are also considered mid-range in terms of cost and quality. Steel molds are the preferred production molds. They are made of thick steel plate (3/4"-1") to maintain high precision. Steel production molds can use hundreds of parts. They are the most expensive and take longer to manufacture.
grout.
This is an alternative to scraping and shims. Machine posts can be easily installed and aligned to the base by grout. Grouts are epoxy resin compounds specially formulated for this purpose.

The epoxy system replicates the surface to the casting by using the master fixture. This is an alternative to grinding, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
Production:
Castings are produced at room temperature. The mold is placed on a vibrating table to ensure proper compaction of the material and minimize voids. The frequency of vibration depends on the material of construction of the mold and the quality of the casting.
